Project summary

The objective of this project is to contribute to improved labor migration management in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Results:

Improve labor migration data /statistics.
Develop national labor migration strategies.
Improve the national legal framework for labor migration through improvement of national legislation on

  • foreign employment;
  • attracting foreign labor into the Kyrgyz Republic;
  • protecting rights and interests of labor migrants;
  • reducing irregular migration.

Build and strengthen the capacity to manage labor migration through

  • informing migrants and the population;
  • providing legal advice and assistance to migrants;
  • research activities.
